This role is ideal for someone with a background in explaining business performance and recommending management actions through expert use of data analytics in a client-facing role. It offers a valuable opportunity to deliver crucial business advice within our franchise-wide team.

You will develop processes to enable the distribution and understanding of insights across the wider bank and support the business by using insights to drive effective decision-making. This role provides excellent recognition and the chance to raise your profile.

What you\’ll do

You will help build and deliver analytics and insights for the franchise by analyzing financial and business performance data, including balance sheet and P&L. You will develop and maintain effective statistical profitability models and provide actionable MI on all aspects of model performance.

Your responsibilities include:

• Providing insights through analysis and effectively communicating them to stakeholders.
• Identifying opportunities for business strategy improvement through various levers such as product, propositions, target operating model, and pricing.
• Suggesting improvements in analysis and team processes.
• Working with managers to maximize team performance, sharing technical expertise to enhance capability.

The skills you\’ll need

We seek a problem solver with a degree in a numerate discipline, possessing data-driven analysis and consulting skills. Extensive banking or financial services experience and knowledge of analytical and visualization software are essential. Consulting experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

You will also need:

• Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau or similar tools.
• Understanding of stakeholder products, propositions, customer journeys, markets, and competitors.
• Broad experience with risk and finance systems in banking environments.
• Understanding of relevant regulatory, risk management, and control processes in financial services.
