We are seeking an experienced, driven, and passionate Registered Manager (RM) to lead a high-quality children’s residential care home supporting young people with EBD and complex needs. Your Role as Registered Manager
You will have full responsibility for the operational leadership, compliance, quality, and financial performance of the home in line with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards, and company values.
Key responsibilities include:
- Registering with Ofsted (or maintaining current registration)
- Leading, motivating, and developing a stable staff team
- Ensuring outstanding standards of care, safeguarding, and outcomes
- Maintaining compliance with regulations, policies, and quality frameworks
- Managing occupancy, referrals, and placement stability
- Overseeing audits, inspections, action plans, and continuous improvement
- Building positive relationships with local authorities, professionals, and families
- Managing budgets, rotas, recruitment, and performance
This is a visible, hands-on leadership role where you will set the standard and lead by example.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Significant leadership experience within a children’s residential setting
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and quality standards
- Proven experience leading teams, inspections, and service improvement
- Ability to manage compliance, performance, and people effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Existing Ofsted registration
- Experience managing EBD and/or complex needs services
- Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Experience supporting service growth or new home registrations
