We are looking for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a stable and supportive children’s residential home caring for young people with EBD and complex needs. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be trusted, well supported, and given genuine opportunities to progress in your career.

Your Role as Deputy Manager

You’ll work closely with the Registered Manager to lead the home, support and develop the staff team, and ensure young people receive consistent, high-quality care. This includes supporting the running of the home, leading shifts, providing supervision, mentoring, and guidance to staff. You will also support safeguarding, risk management, and care plans in the Manager’s absence.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
  • Experience working with children with EBD / complex needs
  • Confident leading shifts and supporting staff
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge of Ofsted regulations
  • Ambition to progress to Registered Manager
  • Willingness to complete or working towards Level 5
