We are looking for caring, motivated, and passionate Residential Care Workers to join a stable and supportive children’s residential home caring for young people with EBD and complex needs. This is a hands-on care role where you’ll be supported, valued, and given genuine opportunities to develop your skills and build a long-term career in children’s care. No previous experience is required (although experience in an Ofsted-regulated setting is desirable). Full training and ongoing development will be provided.

Your Role as a Residential Care Worker
You will play a vital role in providing safe, consistent, and nurturing care to children and young people. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help create a stable environment where young people feel valued, supported, and empowered to achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting young people with daily routines, education, and activities
- Promoting positive behaviour, boundaries, and emotional wellbeing
- Building positive, trusting relationships with young people
- Supporting care plans, risk management, and safeguarding practices
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to team handovers
- Working in line with Ofsted standards, policies, and procedures
This is a hands-on role where your care, consistency, and commitment make a genuine difference every day.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
- A positive, patient, and resilient attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and develop professionally
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Desirable:
- Experience working with children or young people (including care, education, or support roles)
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Experience or awareness of Ofsted environments
- Full UK driving licence
