We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Buckinghamshire. This is a hands-on role combining field-based work with workshop diagnostics, testing, calibration, and installation, so it would suit someone who enjoys practical engineering and problem-solving rather than purely desk-based work.

Main responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:

  • Installation, servicing, and commissioning of specialist equipment at customer sites
  • Diagnostics and fault-finding on complex electromechanical systems
  • Performance testing, validation, and compliance checking of equipment
  • Calibration and ongoing maintenance of test systems and associated components
  • Workshop-based repair, testing, refurbishment, and system build activities
  • Supporting technical investigations into system performance and operational issues
  • Producing service reports, technical documentation, and calibration records
  • Providing technical support and guidance to customers when required
  • Occasional European travel (approximately once per month, up to 3 days per trip)

Requirements needed for the Field Sales Engineer:

  • Proven experience as an Electromechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, or in a similar hands-on technical role
  • Background working with specialist equipment, test systems, or complex machinery (highly desirable)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience calibrating and maintaining technical equipment or instrumentation
  • Comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively within a workshop environment
  • Good technical documentation and reporting skills
  • Experience with air filtration standards or compliance testing
  • Knowledge of diagnostics or airflow performance analysis
  • Previous international field service or installation experience is desirable

Full UK driving licence
