Service Advisor – Nottingham City Centre outskirts (free parking)
£25,500 + overtime
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Service Advisor to join a busy and friendly team. This front-facing role involves handling customer enquiries, booking service appointments, managing service calls, creating invoices, and processing warranty claims. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with good organizational skills and a basic understanding of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers at the service counter in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to service inquiries efficiently.
- Respond to emails both internal and externally within a set time period.
- Schedule service and repair appointments.
- Prepare and issue service invoices and job cards accurately.
- Process and manage warranty claims with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Liaise with workshop technicians to provide service updates to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts ordered, and customer communication.
- Advise customers on service timelines, costs, and machinery care when required.
- Ensure the service area is organised, tidy, and stocked with relevant forms and materials.
- Support the sales and parts team when necessary, during busy periods.
The ideal candidate
- Previous experience in a customer service or service counter role
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Comfortable using invoicing software and booking systems
- Attention to detail and accuracy in billing and record-keeping
- Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
- A mechanical or technical background would be an advantage
Hours and environment
This is a fully office based role. Hours of work are 9-5 in the winter months and 8:30-5 in the summer. Some weekend work will be required during the summer – overtime paid.
