We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, specialist manufacturing and engineering business with a long track record of delivering high-quality, precision components to customers across sectors including automotive, aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a proactive and organised Office Administrator to support day-to-day operations and help keep the business running smoothly. This is a varied role offering responsibility, stability and the opportunity to develop within a supportive team environment.

Monday to Friday 40hrs per week
£25k - £30k per annum
Duties of the Office Administrator:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for the manufacture, repair and modification of precision engineered parts and assemblies
- Review drawings, CAD data and specifications to calculate materials, labour and processing requirements
- Produce clear, commercially competitive quotations that maintain profitability
- Assess customer requirements and provide practical technical input to confirm feasibility
- Work closely with engineering, design and production teams to validate scope and costing assumptions
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through smarter processes or methods
- Liaise with customers to clarify specifications, timelines and expectations
- Source and compare supplier pricing for materials, subcontract work and specialist services
- Build strong working relationships with customers and suppliers to support smooth project delivery
- Provide technical support to the sales team during proposals and tender stages
- Maintain organised records of estimates, quotations and project history
- Contribute to improving internal estimating tools, systems and processes
Requirements for the Office Administrator:
- Admin experience
- Confident using standard office systems, equipment and software
- Clear and professional communication skills with a strong customer-focused approach
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Able to work independently while also contributing positively within a small team
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
