We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Engineer to join a growing engineering team in Buckinghamshire. This is a hands-on role combining field-based work with workshop diagnostics, testing, calibration, and installation, so it would suit someone who enjoys practical engineering and problem-solving rather than purely desk-based work. Main responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer:
- Installation, servicing, and commissioning of specialist equipment at customer sites
- Diagnostics and fault-finding on complex electromechanical systems
- Performance testing, validation, and compliance checking of equipment
- Calibration and ongoing maintenance of test systems and associated components
- Workshop-based repair, testing, refurbishment, and system build activities
- Supporting technical investigations into system performance and operational issues
- Producing service reports, technical documentation, and calibration records
- Providing technical support and guidance to customers when required
- Occasional European travel (approximately once per month, up to 3 days per trip)
Requirements needed for the Field Sales Engineer:
- Proven experience as an Electromechanical Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Installation Engineer, or in a similar hands-on technical role
- Background working with specialist equipment, test systems, or complex machinery (highly desirable)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience calibrating and maintaining technical equipment or instrumentation
- Comfortable working independently in the field and collaboratively within a workshop environment
- Good technical documentation and reporting skills
- Experience with air filtration standards or compliance testing
- Knowledge of diagnostics or airflow performance analysis
- Previous international field service or installation experience is desirable
