We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, specialist manufacturing and engineering business with a long track record of delivering high-quality, precision components to customers across sectors including automotive, aerospace, defence and advanced manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a proactive and organised Office Administrator to support day-to-day operations and help keep the business running smoothly. This is a varied role offering responsibility, stability and the opportunity to develop within a supportive team environment.

Permanent Monday to Friday 40hrs per week Β£25k - Β£30k per annum

Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for the manufacture, repair and modification of precision engineered parts and assemblies
  • Review drawings, CAD data and specifications to calculate materials, labour and processing requirements
  • Produce clear, commercially competitive quotations that maintain profitability
  • Assess customer requirements and provide practical technical input to confirm feasibility
  • Work closely with engineering, design and production teams to validate scope and costing assumptions
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs through smarter processes or methods
  • Liaise with customers to clarify specifications, timelines and expectations
  • Source and compare supplier pricing for materials, subcontract work and specialist services
  • Build strong working relationships with customers and suppliers to support smooth project delivery
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during proposals and tender stages
  • Maintain organised records of estimates, quotations and project history
  • Contribute to improving internal estimating tools, systems and processes

Requirements

  • Admin experience
  • Confident using standard office systems, equipment and software
  • Clear and professional communication skills with a strong customer-focused approach
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Able to work independently while also contributing positively within a small team
  • Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word and Excel
