JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for a strategic and positive Production Manager to lead and develop a well-established team. You must have proven experience to support the Operations Manager, MD and other Directors. It is working for a highly successful, reputable company in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment. You will perform tasks that are critical to the business. This role will manage every aspect of the production facilities to achieve the goals set for customers based on delivery and quality expectations whilst controlling the operating cost of the factories.

Role profile:

  • Drive and enhance continued improvement activities
  • Successfully manage Warehouse staff to ensure that they are properly trained, motivated and developed to carry out their responsibilities
  • Manage the Supervisors and Team Leaders so they are fully supported, motivated, and developed
  • Always adhere to Health and Safety standards
  • Budget responsibility for the warehouse salaries including overtime
  • Support HR at times to include recruitment, training, leading one-to-ones with team, and dealing with any disciplinary issues effectively
  • Identify best shift working patterns for efficiency
  • Determine a solution to 24 hour working
  • Ensure material is specified exact to customer requirement, and stock is utilised on a first in, first out basis with support from the Stock Manager
  • Ensure defects in materials are reported
  • Report production delays
  • Coordinate customer returns
  • Ensure that the machinery is run efficiently and defects are reported
  • Ensure all activities comply with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, Health
