HOURS: 32 hours per week (must include a Thursday)
JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an experienced Accounts person to cover maternity leave within their busy Finance Team. This is a fantastic role where you will be responsible for providing a professional and efficient accounting service, ensuring that work is carried out in a timely and accurate manner and internal reporting requirements are met.
Role profile:
- Processing expenses claims in a timely manner.
- Review and approve fortnightly BACs payments files.
- Processing credit card and prepaid expense card reconciliations.
- Set up one-off bank payments on the current banking system.
- Reconcile purchase ledger accounts to statements received, recording and investigating differences.
- To raise sales invoices, based on requests received and regular invoices, accurately and in a timely manner.
- To respond to queries on sales invoices raised.
- Credit control function, chasing overdue accounts via all forms of communication.
- Matching of all receipts including bacs, cheques, credit cards against invoices outstanding.
- Bank reconciliation in a timely manner.
- Liaising with departments to identify any unidentified monies.
- To complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review by the Finance Manager.
- To assist as required with monthly management accounts and annual budgeting and external audit processes.
Essential Experience:
- Working towards the AAT qualification
- Extensive experience of working in a fast-paced finance environment.
- Outstanding communication and customer care skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a team environment
- Meticulous planning and organisational skills
