JR Personnel are an employment agency acting on behalf of a client who is looking for an enthusiastic and positive Accountant who can manage the accounts in-house and who is great with people. This role will be for someone who is self-motivated to work on your own initiative. You must have proven accounts experience, and be looking for a long term move. We are seeking someone who is either qualified or qualified by experience. This is a role where you can really go in and make it your own and our client is open to new ideas and ways of working that you may be able to implement. Staff stay long term in this SME; it is well established and has a great business model. You will be collaborating with various teams to provide financial insights and adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
Role profile:
- Good working knowledge of Accounts packages Sage line 50
- Working with the external Accountant who signs off year end
- Overseeing all financial operations to include budgeting, compliance and reporting
- Managing staff payroll
- Cash flow
- All HMRC duties to include VAT reconciliations and submissions
- CIS returns
- Bank reconciliations
- Preparing financial statements
- Payments
- Expenses
- Nominal ledger work
- All accounts payable duties
- Develop both internal and external relationships with customers with a helpful and efficient manner
- General project related and ad hoc accounting duties as and when required
Person profile:
- Previous Accounts experience is essential
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude
- Great communication skills
- Sound MS Office knowledge
