About JQ Modern

JQ Modern is a premium, multi-occupier office building in the heart of Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter. We provide flexible, high-quality workspace to a vibrant community of businesses, and we pride ourselves on creating an environment where people genuinely love to come to work. Our occupiers are at the centre of everything we do.

The Role

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic and highly organised Community Liaison & Tenant Experience Co-ordinator to be the beating heart of JQ Modern. This is a hands-on, front-facing role — you will be the first point of contact for our occupiers and the person who makes the building feel like more than just an office. You will be responsible for ensuring every person who walks through our doors has an exceptional experience, from welcoming new tenants to organising events that bring the community together. No two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Occupier Welcome & Move-In
    • Meet and greet building occupiers and visitors, creating a warm and professional first impression
    • Support new tenants through the move-in process, including arranging access keys and fobs
    • Conduct building walk-arounds with incoming occupiers to familiarise them with facilities and amenities
    • Carry out pre-move-in unit checks to ensure spaces are presented to the highest standard
  • Day-to-Day Occupier Relations
    • Act as the primary point of contact for occupier queries, requests and complaints, resolving issues promptly and professionally
    • Build strong, ongoing relationships with all building occupiers to foster a positive community atmosphere
    • Manage meeting room bookings and ensure communal spaces are well-maintained and ready for use
    • Carry out regular communal area checks and building walks to uphold building standards
  • Events & Community Building
    • Plan, budget and deliver a programme of events designed to engage and delight our occupier community
    • Source suppliers, manage logistics and oversee events from concept through to completion
    • Gather feedback and continually improve the events offering to reflect occupier interests
  • Building Operations Support
    • Provide reception cover as required, maintaining a welcoming front-of-house presence
    • Liaise with the Maintenance team to co-ordinate repairs, reporting issues and following up on resolution
    • Support the Sales & Marketing team with promotional activities and prospective tenant viewings
    • Actively promote JQ Modern as a workplace destination within the Jewellery Quarter community

What We’re Looking For

  • A natural ability to connect with people
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage priorities and deadlines
  • A proactive, can-do attitude
  • A desire to deliver outstanding customer service
  • A professional and approachable manner

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a hospitality, property, co-working, events or customer-facing environment
  • Experience planning and delivering events, even at a small scale
  • Familiarity with building management or facilities environments

What We Offer

  • A varied, people-centred role at one of Birmingham’s most characterful office buildings
  • A supportive and close-knit team with a commitment to doing things well
