Are you an individual who likes problem solving and working in collaboration with others? Then you have found the right team! As a Trade Settlements Part‑Time Associate within the Markets Operation department, you will be responsible for reviewing and resolving failing trades predominately for our Hedge fund clients in Europe. In this role, you will have regular collaboration with various internal lines of business, clients and brokers, and you will also be ensuring stringent controls are applied to the daily inventory management activities and driving both process improvements in the end‑to‑end operating model as well as supporting the implementation of a strategic development and automation program.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures trades are settled in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
- Manages proactively failing settlements to minimize risk and penalty charges.
- Partners with brokers and internal teams to proactively problem solve failing trades.
- Builds trusting, credible broker, agent and client relationships through responsive, high quality client service.
- Responds to daily queries and chairs action‑driven meetings.
- Monitors themes using our data analytics platform and uses a data‑driven approach to influencing client and broker behaviour.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- The ability to act and communicate with humility, empathy and kindness.
- Proven track record of being a subject matter expert (any product or workflow) in a previous role.
- Proven ability to articulate complex concepts in a simple, digestible way to varied audiences.
- A very disciplined attitude to operational risk management.
- The ability to work with large data sets to pull trends and provide meaningful feedback to influence client and broker behaviour.
- The ability to bring multiple groups together to solve a problem and hold people accountable for their actions.
