Responsibilities
- Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems.
- Lead the design, build, delivery, and deployment of high-performing applications for Prime business needs, including Trading Strategies and Data Product delivery within the Data Mesh architecture.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Identify opportunities to automate or eliminate recurring issues, improving operational stability.
- Lead evaluation sessions to assess architectural designs and technical credentials for integration with existing systems.
- Drive communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new and leading-edge technologies.
- Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
- Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Python, PySpark, or SQL.
- Expertise in data solutions using AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, MWAA, etc.).
- Strong experience in designing, developing, testing, and managing mission-critical operational data flows.
- Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Skilled in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within disciplines such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
- In-depth knowledge of financial services industry IT systems.
- Practical experience with cloud-native technologies.
