As a Proposition Manager at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be a part of a flat-structure organization. Your responsibilities are to deliver end-to-end cutting-edge solutions in the form of cloud-native microservices architecture applications leveraging the latest technologies and the best industry practices. You are expected to be involved in the design and architecture of the solutions while also focusing on the entire SDLC lifecycle stages. Our Product team is at the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. Key Responsibilities- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define, prioritize and own the end-to-end Credit Card proposition backlog for the UK market. Translate customer needs, competitive landscape and financial objectives into a clear multi-year roadmap.
- Commercial & Financial Performance: Set pricing and promotional structures to achieve annual new-business and profitability targets. Collaborate with Finance, Credit and Commercial teams to model unit economics, track P&L impact and optimize margin.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Partner with Credit Risk and Legal to ensure propositions comply with UK unsecured-lending regulations. Monitor Customer Outcome Indicators and risk metrics to identify emerging issues and mitigate potential harms.
- Market & Customer Insights: Conduct primary and secondary market research, competitor benchmarking and ongoing customer feedback analysis. Use data-driven insights to identify new or iterate on existing features, messaging and channel strategies that improve customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead product-lifecycle activities including discovery, ideation, requirements definition and post-launch value management. Influence senior stakeholders through concise briefings, presentations and business cases.
- In-depth knowledge of unsecured-lending products and the UK credit-card market.
- Demonstrated expertise in risk management across credit, conduct and operational dimensions.
- Solid understanding of UK regulatory framework for unsecured lending (e.g., CONC, CCA).
- Analytical and strategic thinking: Ability to analyze data, interpret trends, and translate strategy into actionable plans and initiatives. Commercial acumen with a track record of developing and managing profitable propositions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication—able to simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences.
- Proven success leading product-life-cycle processes within a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment.
- Exceptional influencing skills with senior leaders and governance forums.
- 5+ years in proposition management, commercial strategy or marketing of financial services products.
- Experience working in or alongside credit-risk and compliance functions.
