Senior Product Manager (People Leader) - Accelerator Business in London

London Full-Time No working from home possible
JPMorganChase
Description

Out of the successful launch of Chase in the United Kingdom in 2021, we're a new team with a new mission β€” creating products that solve real-world problems and put customers at the center, all in an environment that nurtures skills and helps you realize your potential. We're people-first, and we value collaboration, curiosity, and commitment. If you're passionate about building meaningful financial products at scale, this is the team for you.

As a Senior Product Manager (People Leader) at JPMorganChase within the Accelerator, you'll take ownership of a significant platform capability or proposition, leading a team of Product Managers and the squads they run, and shaping how it evolves as part of our broader Chase European build-out. You'll operate with a high degree of autonomy and influence beyond your immediate team, working across areas such as core banking, payments, and cards β€” depending on where your experience and interests best fit. We're a fintech-focused team looking for people who want to solve big problems, drive strong product culture, and continue building deep expertise in the space.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own a broader area of the roadmap end to end, including the underlying business rules, logic, and infrastructure that support it, delivered through the Product Managers in your team
  • Lead a team of Product Managers with clarity and purpose, setting direction and priorities in close, continuous partnership with Engineering, User Experience, and Data and Analytics
  • Define and drive a multi-quarter roadmap across your team's areas that balances near-term delivery commitments with longer-term platform strategy, and is accountable for it cohering with adjacent areas
  • Navigate ambiguity and complex trade-offs across technical, regulatory, commercial, and business constraints, making well-reasoned decisions at pace, and arbitrating when your PMs' areas compete for capacity or conflict on approach
  • Influence peers and senior stakeholders outside your immediate team, including senior technology and business partners across the firm
  • Apply data rigorously to prioritise, validate, and course-correct decisions throughout the delivery lifecycle, including commercial and cost outcomes alongside customer value
  • Own coaching, performance conversations, and growth plans for your Product Managers, developing their product craft, data fluency, and commercial judgement, and raising the bar across the team
  • Accountable for the health of your team's partnerships with Engineering and Design; where a partnership isn't working, fixing it jointly with your counterparts is your job
  • Represent your product area clearly and credibly in senior forums, communicating progress, risks, and strategic direction with confidence

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Sustained experience as a Product Manager, with a proven track record leading a squad directly alongside Engineering, User Experience, and Data teams
  • Demonstrated ownership of a complex platform or capability end to end, including its underlying business logic, not solely front-end or user experience scope
  • Experience managing people, or a strong record of leading through others with readiness to take on formal management
  • Strong judgment in ambiguous, high-stakes situations, with the ability to make and stand behind difficult trade-off decisions
  • Strong technical aptitude, commercial awareness, and product sense, with the ability to engage credibly with engineering and business partners alike
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to influence and align senior audiences
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, scaled technology or fintech environment
  • Based in London or open to relocating to London

Why Join Us?

  • Build something new. Help create the next generation of banking infrastructure inside one of the world's largest financial institutions. You'll be building on a cloud-native platform with a modern technology stack, not maintaining decades of legacy systems.
  • Move fast. We're one of the fastest-moving teams in the firm, with a startup mindset backed by JPMorgan's scale, customers, and investment.
  • Use the latest technology. We invest in modern engineering practices, AI-powered tooling, and the latest technologies to help teams move faster and build better products.
  • Grow your career. You'll work alongside experienced Product, Engineering, and Design leaders who are invested in your development, with clear opportunities to grow your impact and career.
  • Work with a diverse team from across financial services, tech and fintech. We're building a high-performing, collaborative culture from the ground up, based in our own purpose-built Accelerator office in Canary Wharf.
