About the team
Our Equity Capital Markets franchise advises clients on and provides access to the equity capital markets across EMEA, underwriting and managing transactions for many of the region’s leading corporates. Within ECM, the UK&I team partners closely with country, industry and product teams across Investment Banking and Markets to deliver coordinated, high-impact outcomes for clients.
Role overview
We are seeking a high-performing Vice President to join our EMEA Equity Capital Markets team, focused on UK&I coverage in London. You will work with senior colleagues to shape and execute our UK&I ECM strategy, originate and execute ECM transactions, and help deepen long-term client relationships while playing a leadership role within the team.
Key responsibilities
- Origination & execution: Support origination and lead/co-lead execution across ECM transactions for UK&I clients (including coordinating internal stakeholders through to pricing and closing).
- Strategy & franchise building: Contribute to developing and implementing the ECM business strategy for UK&I within the broader EMEA platform.
- Client relationship management: Develop and deepen relationships with key corporate clients; support senior dialogue and deliver thoughtful, solutions-oriented advice.
- Marketing & materials: Create and quality-control pitch and marketing materials; articulate differentiated content and defend recommendations with clear logic and evidence.
- Cross-product coordination: Work closely with country, industry and product partners (e.g., M&A, DCM) as well as syndicate, sales and trading to deliver integrated solutions and market intelligence.
- People leadership: Provide day-to-day mentorship and supervision to junior team members; set a high bar for analytical rigor and execution excellence.
Required qualifications
- Relevant investment banking / ECM experience, typically 6+ years (or equivalent) with demonstrated transaction execution and growing origination capabilities.
- Strong financial modeling/valuation and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Outstanding ethics, integrity, and judgment, with comfort engaging senior stakeholders in a professional manner.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate ideas concisely and defend their validity.
- Highly organized and proactive, able to multitask and perform in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience coordinating across ECM and broader capital markets stakeholders (including syndicate and markets partners) and leveraging market intelligence to develop creative client solutions.
