This is a high-visibility role, working closely with senior stakeholders, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, communication skills and a desire to learn and develop within a fast paced, collaborative environment. As a Global Payments Controls Strategy and Transformation Associate within the Global Payments Controls team, you will support the execution of high priority initiatives that advance the Payments Controls operating model and strengthen the end to end control framework. You will be responsible for working with Control Management leads, contributing to high-profile initiatives spanning strategy, governance, risk management, control evaluation, and detailed analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support the execution of Payments Controls Strategy and Transformation initiatives by conducting analysis, preparing materials, and tracking delivery progress.
- Execute targeted deep-dive assessments to surface risks, identify enhancements, and agree on remediation steps to strengthen the overall control framework.
- Gather, review, and synthesize data from Payments Controls teams to support insight generation, issue identification, and reporting.
- Assist with the development of executive-level materials for key meetings with Payments business and controls leadership.
- Prepare clear and concise materials for management updates, working sessions, and governance forums.
- Support design and implementation of operating models, processes, and control or governance frameworks.
- Coordinate with regional and functional Payments Controls teams to collect information, support consistency, and promote alignment across the organization.
- Assist in the preparation of materials related to risk, control assessments, issue management, and regulatory responses, under the guidance of senior team members.
- Demonstrate flexibility, independence, and the ability to create strong partnerships across disparate stakeholder groups including Product, Operations and Technology Controls and the Payments Business.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or another related discipline.
- Previous experience in financial institutions in one or more of the following areas: Strategy, Program management, Governance, Operational risk, Controls, Compliance.
- Experience driving strategy, operations, process improvement and high-profile projects.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to review information, identify key themes, and summarize findings clearly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information in a structured and professional manner.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop subject matter knowledge over time.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build effective working relationships.
- Comfort working with structured data, presentations, and written deliverables for senior stakeholders.
- Thoughtful, informed, and able to provide well-founded opinions.
