Join the JPMorgan Payments team as Head of Payments Controls Management, a pivotal role in enabling the Payments Business to continue to grow and innovate in a risk‑focused way. This high‑impact position offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic, cross‑functional team, driving execution and supporting a multifaceted and dynamic business. As a Managing Director within the Payments Controls team, you will be a strategic leader and work closely with both global and regional partners to influence stakeholders and drive the delivery of innovative solutions that enhance our control environment. We are seeking a confident communicator, inspirational leader, and results‑oriented problem solver with a strong commitment to risk oversight and business transformation.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead oversight of the end‑to‑end global payments controls environment, including conducting risk analysis, thematic reviews, and control deep dives.
- Establish and refine governance frameworks and risk management procedures in collaboration with global business partners.
- Execute major control programs with global impact and ensure alignment with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Lead data‑driven decision making and strategic planning at a global level, including process design, and proactive identification and management of risks.
- Manage and develop a matrixed global team while fostering cohesion across product, operations, and technology controls.
- Deliver high quality, consistent and meaningful executive reporting and analytics to identify trends and themes to support business decisions.
- Represent the organization in the global regulatory environment, managing audits across all regions, chairing global control forums, participating in governance committees, and serving as key escalation point for control issues while overseeing regular testing and review of the global control framework.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Extensive years of relevant industry experience in large financial institutions in strategy, transformation, or business management roles.
- Experience designing and implementing control frameworks, conducting operational risk assessments, and overseeing front‑line, operational, and technology controls.
- Proven experience leading transformation initiatives at scale with demonstrated ability to design and re‑engineer processes, model target state operating environments, and drive process optimization.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience in Controls, Operations and/or Technology management experience preferred.
