EMEA Employment Tax Advisor within the Corporate Tax team will work closely with EMEA Tax Advisory colleagues and the broader Global Corporate Tax and Employment Tax team. The team collaborates with the HR EMEA Employment Tax Operations team to provide advice to HR: Compensation, Benefits, Pensions, Payroll and Global Mobility teams across EMEA for Employment Tax matters.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify Employment Tax risk and provide advice across the EMEA region.
- Attend regular meetings with relevant SMEs across the region (Corporate Tax, Payroll, Legal, Global Mobility, Compensation, Pensions and Benefits Team, Expenses teams and others) to identify new matters and provide advice.
- Work closely with Payroll teams across the region to review new wage codes prior to implementation.
- Appropriately escalated and socialised new Employment Tax related matters and risks to the EMEA Employment Tax lead and, as required, the broader stakeholder group.
- Support the filing of the UK PAYE Settlement Agreement and other Employment Tax returns across the region, as required.
- Support Tax Authority audits, information requests and enquiries as required.
- Identify Employment Tax changes and advise stakeholders accordingly.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities
- UK Employment Tax specialist; CTA qualified or equivalent.
- Broad experience of Employment Tax matters including Global Mobility Tax, Benefits, Expenses, Compensation and Share plans.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn, proactively take on projects and work collaboratively across various teams and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent record keeping and risk management skills.
- Good judgement required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player.
