The JPMAM Investment Platform team was created in 2019 and is tasked with driving the vision for a common technology platform to support the needs of our investors. The team engages a broad community of investors along four cross-product disciplines: Portfolio Management, Research, Trading, and Investment Data & Risk Analytics with the objective of building the systems that can enable them and their teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

The Sustainable Investing & Stewardship (SI&S) Product Management team is responsible for setting the product vision and empowering all investors across asset classes to integrate sustainability factors in the investment decision-making process, and support the engagement efforts & proxy voting processes of the company. As a Stewardship Product Manager (Associate or Vice President) on the team, you will collaborate with a large team of Technologists, Data Scientists, and Stewardship experts. You will be part of a highly visible product team that has a direct impact on the execution of our product vision and roadmap, with a specific focus on integrating crucial corporate governance factors and building voting capabilities into our state-of-the-art proxy voting platform. You will also support the engagement efforts of the Stewardship team by designing novel systems and solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support and/or act as a product manager for the Stewardship business, including setting the product vision, understanding the needs of users, and condensing them into user stories or specifications, overseeing implementation, and representing the product after release to ensure appropriate training and adoption.
  • Facilitate regular product cabinets (stakeholder forums) and selected agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives).
  • Develop prototype analytics solutions through code (e.g., Python, SQL, R) and partner with technologists to deploy and release the features.
  • Maintain a clear and prioritized product backlog and roadmap that ensures transparency into the book of work.
  • Track and report KPIs related to product adoption & business impact.
  • Partner with Chief Data Office (CDO) teams, external ESG data vendors, etc. to steer & provide strategic inputs that accelerate the development of solutions.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to review progress, gather feedback, and ensure alignment.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for leveraging AI technologies in asset management.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:

  • Minimum 4+ years of work experience in financial services, preferably within the wealth or asset management industry.
  • Prior product management experience, underpinned by a strong understanding of Agile principles and product management tools such as Jira.
  • Domain knowledge of Stewardship and/or Proxy Voting, along with understanding of ESG data, Corporate Governance related data, etc. and its providers (e.g. MSCI, Bloomberg, S&P Global, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience writing code for analytics and data manipulation (e.g., Python, SQL, R), with the ability to develop prototypes and design solutions.
  • Knowledge of financial products and investment management processes across asset classes.
  • Proficiency in creatively resolving problems and conflicts while developing unique solutions, with a proven track record in complex decision-making.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders & align them to a shared goal of product vision & roadmap.
  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships with business users, operations, technologists, and external data vendor partners.
  • Strong communication, documentation and organization skills.
  • Good to have: Experience with AI technologies, particularly Generative AI and Large Language Models, and their application in financial services.
