As a Lead Software Engineer – Platform Engineering at JPMorgan Chase, within the International Consumer Bank, you will deliver end‑to‑end cloud‑native microservices solutions using the latest technologies and industry best practices.
You will participate in design and architecture across the SDLC.
- Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Create and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable codebase.
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure robustness and reliability of applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring smooth application functionality.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide progress updates.
- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices and code reviews.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in mobile development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes and workflows.
- Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Formal training or certification on Java Script concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java Script, Type Script, and ES6+ syntax.
- Ability to write testable, clean Java Script code.
- Familiarity with writing unit tests.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment within a geographically distributed team.
- Ability to focus on promptly addressing customer needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Proficiency in React framework, building applications using React Native in Type Script or Java Script.
- Native application development across Android and i OS in Kotlin or Swift.
- Understanding of REST APIs and Graph QL.
- Comfortable working with projects partially or fully using Type Script.
- End‑to‑end testing with Detox, Appium, Webdriver IO, or Playwright.
- Extensive experience in modern web development, including responsive design and performance optimization.
- Hands‑on experience with design systems, component libraries, and implementing consistent UI/UX across large‑scale applications.
