Responsibilities
- Self-motivated who can drive epics individually with minimum support.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance the developer experience, providing tools and infrastructure that support agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
- Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
- Create secure and high-quality production code to deploy infrastructure.
- Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
- Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets for continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
- Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
- Add to the teams' culture, diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
- Understanding distributed systems and microservice architecture.
- Handsβon practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages (Python or other) and database querying languages.
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Understanding Agile methodologies, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, etc.).
- Experience with Public Cloud services in Production (we use AWS).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or other).
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight.
- Experience in architecting, supporting, and implementing advanced, strategic CICD migrations.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end or back-end technologies.
- Debugging expertise in Kubernetes.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Tools, preferably Terraform, and AWS services understanding.
- Experience with any GitHub, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Terraform Cloud, Slack, Grafana, SonarQube is considered a plus.
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages.
