Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is highly motivated to work in a dynamic team and contribute to our Investment Banking business.

As an Investment Banking Associate in the UK M&A team, you will be involved throughout the lifecycle of M&A transactions across various sectors. You will gain exposure to major M&A deals in the UK, working for one of the country\’s leading M&A advisory franchises.

You will play a vital role in supporting the execution of public and private M&A transactions involving UK corporate and financial sponsor clients, as well as overseas clients with UK-based businesses.

Working with expert professionals at a leading global investment bank, you will have access to formal training, hands-on learning, continuous mentoring, feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will develop strong skills in investment banking and have the opportunity to grow into a senior role capable of generating and executing transactions.

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with J.P. Morgan product and sector teams
• Build and utilize complex financial models, perform valuation and analytical exercises
• Draft presentation materials, including management presentations, Board materials, Memorandums, and other documents for M&A and capital markets transactions or strategic client discussions
• Support transaction execution: due diligence, document preparation, negotiations, and liaising with clients and advisers (accounting, legal, etc.)
• Stay informed on market developments and understand target client bases and market dynamics
• Monitor shareholder activism in the UK and assist in developing client strategies

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Proven significant experience in Investment Banking
• Exceptional financial analysis and modeling skills
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
• Interest in and focus on deal execution
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Deep understanding of investment banking products
• Experience dealing with clients
• Experience with M&A transactions
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative skills
• Knowledge of UK Takeover Code transactions (beneficial)
• Languages other than English are advantageous but not required

This role involves regulated activities, and the successful candidate must meet regulatory requirements regarding fitness, propriety, knowledge, and competence, and obtain necessary regulatory approvals.
