Investment Banking - Global M&A - Analyst – London

Our product group focuses on the origination and execution of public and private M&A transactions, with a particular emphasis on Financial Sponsors and Infrastructure Investors. You will interact with leading private equity firms, SWFs, family offices, venture capital funds, large EMEA corporates, sponsor-owned companies, and entrepreneur-led businesses. You will gain exposure to various sectors, regions, and transaction types, including sell-sides, buy-sides, public-to-private, and carve-outs, engaging with modern deal-making.

As an Analyst in the Investment Banking EMEA M&A team, you will advise clients on transactions with a Financial Sponsor or Infrastructure angle, working on landmark M&A deals across EMEA. You will collaborate with country, industry, and other product teams within the bank, contributing to a top-ranked M&A advisory franchise.

You will work alongside experienced professionals at a leading global investment bank, receiving formal training, hands-on learning, mentorship, and development opportunities. You will develop core skills in investment banking and have the chance to grow into a senior role capable of originating and executing transactions.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated M&A processes in collaboration with clients and internal teams during origination and execution
• Manage M&A transactions from launch to signing, including investor outreach and communication
• Identify suitable investor universes and engage with investors for partnerships or broad identification
• Create financial analyses and valuation models to evaluate investment opportunities and transaction structures
• Work with management to prepare business plans, due diligence reports, and marketing materials
• Support negotiations and help drive deals to completion
• Transaction execution duties include designing M&A processes, participating in structuring discussions, preparing financial models, supporting due diligence, and liaising with clients and advisers

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Investment banking experience, especially in Corporate Finance or M&A
• Strong interest and understanding of M&A processes, particularly with Financial Sponsors and Infrastructure Investors
• Desire to create value and achieve optimal transaction outcomes
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Willingness to work across sectors, especially Infrastructure, and handle various transaction types
• Proficiency in financial modeling (LBO, DCF, DDM) and corporate finance
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and investors
• Ownership mindset and ability to collaborate across teams
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and prioritize effectively

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Experience in transactions involving financial sponsors
• Background in Infrastructure investment banking or funds
• Additional European language skills are a plus
