Job Description

The Global Philanthropy team is part of Corporate Responsibility and deploys philanthropic capital to community partners that are delivering innovative models and solutions to advance an economy that works for all. Reaching more than 35 markets around the world, our philanthropic commitments focus on creating systems change and driving sustainable impact in three pillars of work internationally: Business Growth & Entrepreneurship, Careers & Skills and Financial Health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, execute and monitor grants, that are aligned to Corporate Responsibility’s broader inclusive economic development agenda
  • Source and structure partnerships with leading organizations to address needs in the communities we serve
  • Determine success measures for these programs
  • Conduct effective due diligence and risk analysis to ensure that the firm’s resources and reputation are protected
  • Manage live grants to ensure that the work funded is delivered, monitored and that impact is measured and risks are managed
  • Research and identify opportunities that align with the firm’s Corporate Responsibility strategy, with a particular focus on selected markets in Europe, to support the development of the local grant-making strategy
  • Support the development of materials for internal and external use that tell a compelling story of the outcomes of our philanthropic initiatives and elevate key collaboration with the broader firm
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop the philanthropic Business Growth and Entrepreneurship strategy for EMEA and contribute to Corporate Responsibility’s broader inclusive economic development agenda

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Work experience of grant-making and/or experience working with non-profit or social impact organisations particularly in European countries
  • Experience and/or knowledge of economic inclusion topics, in particular employment & skills and/or entrepreneurship programs
  • Proficiency in English (written and oral communications skills)
  • Self-motivated and ability to work both in a team as well as in independent context
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise
  • Capable of working under pressure and against tight deadlines
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and on complex issues
  • Good balance of analytical, commercial and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent and efficient MS office user, especially PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Proficiency in other European language (particularly Italian, French or Spanish) would be considered a strong asset
