The role is part of the Innovation Economy team within the Global Corporate Bank and is based in London. As a member of the Venture Capital Relationships team, the Associate plays an integral part in building deep relationships with Venture Capital and Tech Growth Equity Firms in the UK and Europe. The role involves supporting 3 VC Relationships seniors and 2 Debt Solutions EDs by providing research ahead of and during meetings with venture capital and growth equity funds.

You Will Make An Impact By:

  • Supporting VCRM team in JPMorgan by preparing information prior to their calls with VC firms
  • Supporting venture lending by providing investor information
  • Collaborating with internal teams including Innovation Economy Bankers, Tech Investment Bank and Private Bank to ensure coordination of information and initiatives with VC funds
  • Tracking deal referrals from VCs and getting updates from Bankers on these referrals
  • Assisting with preparation of reports and presentations on Venture Capital trends
  • Monitoring JPM systems and VC news to alert the team to important VC news/trends
  • Supporting and attending JPM events in the venture capital ecosystem
  • Building your own network of junior venture capital team members, to gather information, originate deals and progress your career

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic credentials and numerical skills
  • Team player with good verbal & written communication skills
  • Experience in venture capital
  • Organized, detail-oriented and proactive
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to personal growth and career development
  • Outstanding ethics, integrity and judgment
  • Fluent in English, with fluency in another major European language a plus
