- Perform key reconciliations, substantiation, and control checks for hedging activity, maintaining high‑quality documentation and evidence.
- Support internal and external audit requests by producing analyses and providing clear supporting documentation.
- Analyze firm‑wide foreign exchange exposures (including forecasted revenues and expenses, and non‑USD investments in subsidiaries).
- Draft materials and instructions for portfolio managers to execute hedges in line with established frameworks.
- Produce recurring analysis explaining hedge profit and loss drivers, including variance analysis and management commentary.
- Apply derivative and hedge accounting policies consistently in daily and period‑end reporting, raising exceptions promptly.
- Build and maintain recurring management information packs and analytics, improving clarity and consistency of storytelling.
- Identify control and process enhancement opportunities and implement improvements that streamline recurring deliverables.
- Partner with technology to deliver reporting requirements, resolve data issues, and support new hedging programs and reporting frameworks.
- Contribute to measurable efficiency gains through automation and JPMorgan Chase‑approved artificial intelligence use cases, with strong governance and auditability.
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage recurring deadlines independently; proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
- Working understanding (or strong interest in building an understanding) of IRS, FX swaps, forwards, cross‑currency swaps, fixed‑income instruments, and long‑term debt.
- Solid grounding in financial accounting, financial statements, and risk concepts; able to translate outputs into clear summaries for stakeholders.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and ability to learn reporting/risk systems quickly.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functions and prepare management‑ready materials.
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently.
Preferred Qualifications
- A recognized professional accounting or investment qualification (or progress toward one).
- Experience applying derivative accounting and hedge accounting in a reporting environment.
- Experience using Alteryx (or similar analytics and workflow tooling).
- Experience building repeatable management information packs and improving narrative commentary quality.
- Experience partnering with technology teams to implement reporting changes and improve data quality.
