The AI Controls & Product Management Associate is responsible for managing controls-related applications, conducting AI controls reviews across new use cases, and contributing to the development and execution of the controls AI strategy. As an AI Controls & Product Management Associate within JPMorgan, you'll be responsible for owning and managing controls-related applications and tooling, ensuring they are fit for purpose and continuously improved to meet the needs of the business. You will play a key role in reviewing AI controls within new use cases being implemented across the business, ensuring risks are appropriately identified and mitigated. The role also contributes to shaping and steering the controls AI strategy, identifying where AI can be leveraged to enhance and evolve the controls environment.
Job responsibilities:
- Act as Product Owner for controls-related applications and tooling, managing the product backlog, defining user stories, prioritising features, and working closely with development teams to deliver iterative improvements aligned to business needs.
- Review and assess AI controls within new use cases being implemented across the business, evaluating associated risks such as model risk, data integrity, bias, explainability, and regulatory compliance, ensuring appropriate controls are in place prior to and following deployment.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the controls AI strategy, proactively identifying and evaluating opportunities where AI can be incorporated into controls-related tooling and workflows in a governed and controlled manner.
- Partner with technology and business stakeholders to ensure controls-related applications and AI implementations are aligned to business requirements, risk appetite, and change management protocols.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance; or equivalent subject matter expertise in a relevant business related function/operation.
- Experience in product ownership or product management, including managing backlogs, defining user stories, and working with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI governance or risk frameworks, with the ability to critically assess risks associated with AI implementations in a regulated financial services environment.
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and automation tooling (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau, or similar low-code platforms).
