JOB DESCRIPTION

J.P. Morgan’s Asset Management European Real Estate team has a position for an experienced Asset Manager based in their London office.

As an Asset Manager in the European Real Estate team at J.P. Morgan’s Asset Management, you will be responsible for managing commingled funds and separately mandated accounts which invest in real estate, infrastructure, and maritime assets around the world. You will be involved in acquisitions, asset management, finance and control, research, product development, and client service. Your role will be crucial in raising capital, underwriting potential investments, performing due diligence, negotiating closing documentation with respect to new transactions, managing the assets to add value throughout the ownership period, and managing the disposition process.

Job responsibilities:

  • Takes ownership of Annual Business Plan and associated asset performance
  • Identifies and creates deliveries of value-add initiatives
  • Leads grounds up development and heavy refurbishment
  • Manages joint venture partners
  • Schedules appointments and manages leasing agents and design team consultants
  • Manages reports and compliance debts
  • Reports quarterly investment
  • Prepares disposal strategy and executes
  • Presents Investment Committee memos and client presentations

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Fluent in English and Italian
  • Demonstrable experience in logistics, living, and office sectors
  • Delivery of value-add/opportunistic real estate strategies, including obtaining permitting consents, executing complex capex plans, and leasing strategies including new letting and re-gears.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong work ethic
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a small team environment
  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills commensurate with client engagement
  • Good judgment and discretion working with highly confidential information
