As a Product Control Associate, you will support accurate daily profit and loss reporting, balance sheet integrity, and a well-controlled month-end close. You will partner with the business and finance stakeholders to analyze results, explain key drivers, and help implement strong controls. You will work with teams across the front and back office to identify, resolve, and address reporting and control issues. You will also contribute to projects and process improvements that improve transparency and reduce operational risk.
Job responsibilities- Prepare daily profit and loss reporting and related control checks.
- Support month-end close activities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Analyze profit and loss and balance sheet movements and explain key drivers to stakeholders.
- Deliver clear reporting and insights to desk heads, business managers, and senior finance management.
- Partner with the business to implement robust controls and support new business initiatives.
- Coordinate with front- and back-office teams to resolve control, valuation, and reporting issues.
- Investigate breaks and variances and document root causes and remediation actions.
- Maintain strong process discipline and ensure adherence to control standards and procedures.
- Provide analytical and project support to improve reporting quality and operating efficiency.
- Respond to ad hoc requests with accurate analysis and concise communication.
- Relevant experience in Product Control, Financial Control, Accounting, or a closely related area.
- Demonstrated experience performing daily profit and loss reporting and month-end close processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and a demonstrated control mindset.
- Ability to communicate complex financial topics clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships across functions and seniority levels.
- Understanding of financial products and how they impact profit and loss and balance sheet reporting.
