As an Associate in the Income Tax team you will report to a team member who manages the UK tax compliance function. You will be offered the chance to work at the intersection of business, finance and technology in one of the largest global banks. You will have the privilege of working with a diverse global team supporting the EMEA region. The position is based in London.

Job responsibilities

  • Manage corporate income tax accounting for EMEA jurisdictions and entities
  • Prepare corporate income tax compliance for UK entities, including preparation of tax returns, cash tax calculations and related activities with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Advice, support and engagement with other disciplines in Tax and other stakeholders in the bank on corporate tax matters
  • Be involved in tax authority engagements and disputes
  • Manage transfer pricing
  • Assess new business initiatives and corporate reorganisations from a corporate income tax perspective

Required qualifications, skills and capabilities

  • Relevant accounting and/or tax qualification
  • UK corporate income tax experience gained in-house or with a professional services firm, within the financial services sector
  • An understanding of key risk and governance principles applicable to corporate taxes
  • Strong communication and written skills and the ability to work well in a team
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to formulate commercially sound solutions
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Able to work independently, managing own workload and projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
