You will collaborate across Finance, Risk, and the business to improve controls, resolve issues, and drive process enhancements. As a Product Control Vice President in Product Control, you will deliver timely and accurate risk metrics, financial analysis, and commentary that support trading desks and Market Risk Coverage. You will own key recurring processes, help enhance governance and controls, and coordinate across teams to resolve reporting issues. You will lead select projects, including hierarchy management updates and risk hierarchy attestations aligned to the FRTB framework. You will contribute to continuous improvement while building strong stakeholder partnerships across lines of business.
Job responsibilities
- Manage and deliver risk metrics to senior finance management and Market Risk Coverage stakeholders.
- Implement robust controls and support new initiatives across the business.
- Coordinate across functions to resolve control and reporting issues accurately and on time.
- Lead the Product Control workstream for the project to update the Hierarchy Management framework.
- Manage the risk hierarchy attestation process related to the FRTB framework.
- Own the weekly Markets profit and loss commentary process, ensuring clear messaging and strong governance.
- Manage Value at Risk backtesting by coordinating profit and loss analysis across lines of business.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness across all required financial reporting activities.
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Finance, Risk, and the business.
- Identify and escalate control issues with clear documentation and recommended actions.
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing processes and controls to reduce operational risk.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in a relevant banking role, including exposure to financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated experience supporting trading desks and/or financial controllers.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a control-focused mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholder groups.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and sound judgment in issue identification and escalation.
- Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and high-quality financial data.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Solid understanding of financial products.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
- Working knowledge of Alteryx and Tableau.
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives.
