Vice President Experience Designer – Trading

At J.P. Morgan Asset Management, our Product and Experience team is on a mission to build the world\’s greatest asset management platform.

We are hiring a senior Experience Designer to join our design team, with a focus on Trading applications in the investment platform. This role will be critical to the delivery of powerful, user-friendly products for sophisticated financial service professionals. You\’ll also contribute to design standards and best practices across the platform with the support of your highly skilled (and friendly!) design team peers.

  • Provide both hands-on design and design leadership

  • Solve complex problems within a portfolio of high impact experiences

  • Contribute to product success by planning and executing the full range of user research and design activities

  • Ensure that design decisions are informed by qualitative and quantitative research findings

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the entire user-centered design process through research, design, and iterative enhancement.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams including product owners and engineering leads across multiple business lines, geographies, and time zones.

  • Deliver design solutions that are grounded in validated user needs. Clarify user journeys, create high-fidelity mockups, and build rapid prototypes.

  • Work side-by-side with UI developers to ensure feasibility and to support the implementation of designs.

  • Understand, use, and contribute to our design system and standard interaction patterns.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • Expertise in multiple areas of experience design, including research, information architecture, product design, visual design, prototyping, and validation

  • Proficiency with Figma

  • Fluency with design systems

  • Familiarity with research tools (e.g. Maze)

  • Strong communication skills. Ability to speak persuasively with designers, product and technology partners, and senior business leaders.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

  • 7+ years as an Experience Designer in a product or agency environment

  • Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree in UX, HCI, or related fields

  • Experience working with agile and lean development teams

  • Experience designing for enterprise applications or other complex, data-rich products

  • Experience designing for financial services is strongly preferred
