Join our dynamic Wholesale Credit Risk EMEA team as a Vice President in the Natural Resources Corporate Team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, from Private Equity-owned to Investment Grade, within the Natural Resources sectors.
As a Vice President in the Natural Resources Corporate Team within Wholesale Credit Risk EMEA, you will collaborate with the team to negotiate and develop recommendations for new transaction approvals across various products, including secured and unsecured loans, derivatives, trade, and treasury products, while leading due diligence and credit analysis to assess the creditworthiness of counterparties and making recommendations on structure, risk appetite, and grading.
Job responsibilities:- Drive structuring and documentation negotiations for Investment Grade or Leveraged facilities, derivatives, and other products.
- Commit to personal development and foster team knowledge by coaching and training Analysts and Associates on technical and professional skills.
- Manage ongoing credit risk portfolio, monitoring credit ratings, sector trends, and client performance.
- Balance a commercial and solution-driven mindset with a sound risk and controls attitude towards the Firm’s balance sheet.
- Develop close working relationships at senior levels with stakeholders within the Commercial & Investment Bank, including Coverage/Corporate Bank, product specialists, Markets, Capital Markets, and M&A.
- Lead due diligence and credit analysis.
- Structure and negotiate documentation for various financial products.
- Coach and train team members.
- Manage credit risk portfolio.
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Understand and apply risk management policies.
- Sound credit skills and judgment with a proactive approach to leading credit processes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish credibility and trust with stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of transaction structures, documentation, and banking products.
- Experience in Sponsor deal financings or relevant Industrial sectors is beneficial.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment.
- Extensive experience in a comparable environment.
- Experience leading loan documentation negotiations and core corporate derivative documentation (Investment Grade, Leverage Finance, Sponsor LBO) is recommended.
