As a Principal Technical Program Manager in the Commercial & Investment Bank Digital & Platform Services team you will drive the delivery portfolio across multiple workstreams and communicate progress and impact to senior stakeholders. You will partner closely with leadership to shape the operating model for agent‑first operations, ensuring reliable and visible execution. Your role will focus on making a complex portfolio run smoothly, while also contributing to strategy and organisational design. You will help foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence within the team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain a trusted release calendar spanning all delivery streams, with clear dependencies and milestones.
  • Track delivery status, surface slippage and blockers early, and drive resolution.
  • Establish and enforce consistent delivery and governance practices for technical teams.
  • Manage cross‑functional and matrixed dependencies with operations, technology, control, and product partners.
  • Own the cadence and content of progress reporting to senior management.
  • Translate technical delivery into outcomes for executive audiences and strategy into terms for researchers and engineers.
  • Package and communicate wins, learnings, and risks to make impact visible.
  • Own the metrics framework covering quality, performance, and business impact.
  • Facilitate AI governance processes, ensuring initiatives progress in line with review and policy frameworks.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and operationalise vision and roadmaps for agent‑first operations.
  • Use enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate program planning, dependency/risk synthesis, and executive‑ready reporting, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.
  • Promote reuse‑first, AI‑assisted practices for program governance and continuous improvement routines, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Demonstrated experience running complex, multi‑stream delivery within high‑stakes environments.
  • Fluency in software delivery, data, and AI to engage with technical teams and assess delivery risk.
  • Proven contribution to operating model, organisational design, or transformation strategy.
  • Ability to motivate and align cross‑functional and matrixed teams without direct authority.
  • Resilience in leading through adversity and shifting priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technical program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
  • Ability to review and validate AI‑assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.

  • Experience in operationalising strategy into sequenced, fundable, and trackable roadmaps.
  • Background in facilitating planning and tracking of budgets and headcount.
  • Familiarity with AI governance processes and frameworks.
