Job Description
We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what\’s possible. As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Corporate and Investment Bank Markets technology, you have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to elevate the Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities (FICC) electronic trading analytics platform by integrating vast amounts of electronic trading data, KDB+ technology, and AWS products. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, including traders and quantitative analysts, to achieve measurable and quantifiable results. Your role will involve providing both technical and organizational leadership for all strategic business initiatives undertaken by the FICC KDB development team.
Job responsibilities
- Drive delivery of FICC KDB business-focused initiatives, efficiently balancing immediate demands and strategic engagements.
- Lead a high-performing global team of KDB software engineers, from project inception and prioritization to design and execution.
- Make KDB data easily accessible to cloud native apps for research and AI purposes.
- With relentless focus on resiliency and performance, buildout analytics-centric APIs used by CIB clients and trading systems.
- Work closely with the rest of FICC KDB development leads that provide data onboarding, platform core engineering and SRE services on-prem and in AWS.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Thorough understanding of the ecosystem of timeseries data required for building electronic trading analytics and signals.
- Expert in building large-scale KDB platforms processing bullions of realtime messages, preferably in FX and Credit markets.
- Q language guru – this is undoubtedly a hands-on role.
- Experience in leading global business-aligned teams of KDB developers.
- Fundamental knowledge of electronic trading markets, from market data to order placement.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Proficiency in KDB Insights Microservices.
- Working knowledge of PyKX and Python.
- Experience with integrating KDB data with AWS SageMaker, Bedrock and LLM suites.
- Knowledge of AWS compute services and storage tiers.
