Overview
As the Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) as a part of the Technology and Operations Products (TOP) team, you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications using modern cloud-based technologies. This position will lead the architectural design for systems that manage Payments solutions for CIB in the EMEA region.
Responsibilities
- Sets the strategic direction for integrating and evolving existing local payments systems to create a unified, scalable ecosystem supporting all CIB business lines in EMEA.
- Collaborates with internal teams and external partners to evaluate, adopt, and implement innovative data technologies and architectural patterns that address current and future business needs.
- Leads technical evaluation sessions to assess architectural designs, validate technical credentials, and ensure alignment with business and technology objectives.
- Collaborates with solution and technical architects across CIB to influence and design scalable and resilient systems for EMEA payments.
- Influences senior technology and business leaders on key architectural decisions and technology investments.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience.
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Advanced in one or more modern programming language(s) (Java, Python, etc.).
- Practical cloud native experience
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture.
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design, and business processes.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- In-depth knowledge of the EMEA financial services industry and their IT systems.
- Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines.
- AWS Cloud experience
- Strong understanding of payment systems and regulatory environments in EMEA is a plus.
