As a Product Associate at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in this initiative, dedicated to delivering an outstanding banking experience to our customers. Job responsibilities
- Support the product strategy and delivery of reliability capabilities, including standards, observability, incident practices, automation, and developer experience improvements.
- Partner with engineers, site reliability engineers, and cross-functional teams to understand problems, gather requirements, and translate ideas into clear product work.
- Support roadmap planning and prioritisation to align delivery with business goals, engineering needs, and reliability outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, reduce operational friction, and help teams build and run services confidently.
- Use data and feedback, including incident trends, service health metrics, adoption data, and stakeholder input, to guide decisions and measure progress.
- Create clear product materials, including problem statements, user stories, acceptance criteria, release notes, and enablement content.
- Facilitate Agile delivery ceremonies, including stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Maintain delivery hygiene by keeping boards healthy, preparing tickets, clarifying scope, tracking dependencies, and escalating issues when needed.
- Use approved AI tools to draft and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, feedback summaries, incident learnings, and documentation.
- Follow through on actions and help teams move from discussion to delivery.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical teams and understand how systems, platforms, and services operate.
- Ability to discuss technical topics with engineers while explaining concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Foundational understanding of APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, CI/CD, observability, incident management, or software delivery.
- Experience solving ambiguous problems by asking thoughtful questions and breaking work into practical next steps.
- Experience using data and feedback to make decisions, including service health metrics, incident patterns, adoption trends, or user feedback.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, dependencies, and follow-ups in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and supporting continuous improvement in planning, execution, and team learning.
- Learning mindset with interest in modern engineering practices, platform products, developer experience, and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Ability to use AI-assisted ways of working responsibly while maintaining good judgement, confidentiality, and controls.
