As a Vice President in the Prime Brokerage Cash and Controls team, you will provide services to hedge funds and professional investors enabling them to finance their investment activities through a bespoke range of products tailored to suit their needs. The range of services typically available to our Prime Brokerage clients are Global Custody, Securities Lending, Financing and Margin Solutions. You will be responsible for cash wire processing, payments processing as well as controls around equity and fixed incoming trading activity. In this role, you will learn and gain exposure to a growing market and you will play an active part in the success of the team.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and applies incoming cash wires to institutional and retail clients
- Takes care of Payment controls, understanding and adherence to these controls and adhering to these standards
- Investigates and resolves cash and control breaks
- Liaises with global partners and stakeholders to resolve and mitigate reconciliation issues related to the Prime Brokerage product range
- Performs, designs and implements key controls across the trade lifecycle process
- Analyses and identifies opportunities to increase STP
- Develops, revises and ensures adherence to company and department policies and procedures
- Ensures that all work items are completed as per the agreed timeline
- Prepares and analyses metrics
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant experience or equivalent expertise in payments or controls
- Demonstrated advanced skills in using automation technologies to optimize payment systems and processes
- Advanced knowledge of market products, including their definitions, operating procedures, and relevant industry regulations
- Proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues, and having the determination to follow through
- Ability to deliver at a high standard even when under pressure
- Expertise in data analysis techniques, with the ability to communicate data-driven insights effectively to inform strategic decisions
- Expertise to create presentations across various levels
- Ability to deliver in person and virtual presentations to senior management and stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Financial services experience in Corporate Banking
- Strong payments understanding and background
- Experience within Prime Brokerage / Securities Settlements / Asset Servicing
- Experience of Reconciliations
- Analytical skills
