As a VP, Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness, you will work with senior leaders and leadership teams to align around strategic priorities, optimize operating models, strengthen leadership capability, and remove organizational friction.

You will help leaders move from vision to execution by diagnosing challenges, facilitating alignment, designing interventions, and embedding sustainable changes that improve organizational performance. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, organizational design expertise, leadership influence, facilitation excellence, and practical execution.

You will partner closely with HR and leadership teams to diagnose and address specific leadership or organizational effectiveness needs as they arise, ensuring alignment with broader people and talent priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage leadership teams when there is a clear effectiveness problem to solve (e.g., misalignment on priorities, decision bottlenecks, unclear accountability, persistent execution friction, or breakdowns in operating cadence).
  • Diagnose the issue, align stakeholders on the root cause, and design focused interventions that strengthen alignment, accountability, decision-making, and overall team performance.
  • Design and facilitate targeted interventions (e.g., offsites, strategic planning sessions, working sessions) that move teams from discussion to decisions, commitments, and sustained follow-through, in partnership with HR.
  • Engage with leaders when there is a defined need to redesign the organization or operating model (e.g. Role/structure confusion, duplicated work, governance gaps, decision-right issues, capacity constraints or strategy/priority shifts).
  • Evaluate organizational structure, operating model, governance mechanisms, decision rights, and ways of working to resolve identified pain points and improve clarity and execution.
  • Support leaders in defining future-state organizational designs and operating models that enable strategic priorities—improving speed, clarity, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration—in partnership with HR.

Strategic Problem Solving

  • Lead diagnostic efforts to identify organizational challenges, friction points, and systemic issues impacting performance.
  • Use data, observation, interviews, and workshop techniques to uncover root causes and develop practical recommendations that drive measurable outcomes.

Leadership Enablement & Capability Building

  • Support leaders in developing the mindsets, behaviors, and practices required to lead effectively in a complex and evolving environment.
  • Influence and challenge leaders to adopt approaches that strengthen organizational health, employee experience, collaboration, and business performance.

Organizational Transformation

  • Translate strategic objectives into organizational actions by aligning leadership behaviors, operating practices, structures, processes, and culture.
  • Partner with leaders throughout transformation journeys to ensure changes are practical, sustainable, and adopted by teams.

Facilitation & Stakeholder Influence

  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across Infrastructure Platforms.
  • Facilitate difficult conversations, navigate competing priorities, and create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Lead workshops that drive clarity, commitment, and action.

What You'll Bring

  • Strategic Mindset: Experience helping organizations solve complex business, organizational, or operating model challenges.
  • Organizational Effectiveness Expertise: Strong understanding of organizational design, team effectiveness, operating models, governance, organizational health, and leadership performance.
  • Leadership Influence: Proven ability to advise, challenge, and influence senior leaders through credibility, insight, and strong relationships.
  • Exceptional workshop design and facilitation skills with experience leading leadership teams through strategic discussions, alignment sessions, and problem-solving engagements.
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Thinking: Ability to quickly diagnose challenges, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions in complex environments.
  • Change & Transformation Experience: Experience leading and enabling organizational transformation efforts, including the adoption of new structures, operating models, processes, or ways of working.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to distill complexity into clear insights, recommendations, and actions for executive audiences.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be measured by organizational outcomes rather than activity alone. You will:

  • Improve leadership team effectiveness across key leadership forums.
  • Increase clarity, accountability, and alignment within leadership teams.
  • Reduce organizational friction and barriers to execution.
  • Improve adoption of operating models and ways of working.
  • Strengthen leadership capability and organizational health.
  • Accelerate decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Enable leaders to more effectively execute strategic priorities.
  • Increase organizational maturity across targeted focus areas.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence the future direction of one of JPMorgan Chase's largest technology organizations. You will work directly with senior leaders to shape strategy, improve organizational performance, develop leadership capability, and solve some of the most important challenges facing the organization today.

If you are energized by helping leadership teams perform at their best, designing organizations for the future, and translating strategy into action, we would love to hear from you.
