Do you have an understanding of Network Management or are you an experienced control manager? Then you found the right position for you! As an Operations Control Manager within the Network Management team, you will help drive the control agenda and monitor the overall health of the operational control environment within the Network Management function. You will have the opportunity to drive real change in the operational control environment by supporting critical functions and businesses in the design and effective execution of their operational controls, which is critical to our Firm's success.
Job responsibilities
- Cultivate a deep understanding of Network Management and related control policies, procedures and systems.
- Partner with stakeholders, conduct pro-active process, risk and control reviews to identify potential weaknesses or gaps in the control environment and determine root cause of any control breaks identified.
- Ensure that controls are robust, properly designed and operating effectively, essential to a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols.
- Identify opportunities for development of key control metrics.
- Complete facilitation of key governance activities such as monthly Control Forums and monitoring of adherence to the firm’s standards and policies.
- Identify and escalate issues with a sense of urgency, partnering with the Business and Functions to ensure issues are remediated in a timely manner.
- Complete top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis and remediation.
- Uphold CORE standards, Risk Assessment Structures and Program deliverables.
- Partner with colleagues across the firm, including Network Management, Compliance & Risk and Audit to deliver consistent and rigorous Risk practices and Control programs.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Relevant experience in financial services industry with background in controls, audit, quality assurance, operational risk management, or compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven project management capabilities, managing multiple tasks and providing ongoing management updates until completion.
- Ability to analyse, question and challenge key process functions and identify enhanced control methods for implementation.

- Knowledge of the firm’s Control & Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE) framework and platform.
