As a Compliance Advisory – Associate within the Markets Line of Business team, you will partner with global and regional compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards. You will have the opportunity to provide thought leadership and compliance input to regulatory change management. Your role will be pivotal in shaping the compliance landscape and ensuring our business thrives in a competitive environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with Line of Business and global/regional compliance teams.
  2. Provide credible, timely, and risk-based oversight and challenge.
  3. Deliver thought leadership and compliance input to regulatory change management.
  4. Support business initiatives with timely and documented input.
  5. Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc training for the business.
  6. Complete monitoring activities accurately and timely.
  7. Identify, implement, and review compliance policies and procedures.
  8. Prepare materials for forums.
  9. Escalate issues to management appropriately.

Candidate Profile:

  • Relevant compliance or related experience, such as risk management, audit, or control-related experience.
  • Knowledge of UK and EU regulatory frameworks (e.g., MiFID II, MAR, PRIIPs) and recent developments (e.g., Consumer Duty, Retail Investment Strategy).
  • Ability to identify key issues and analyze information.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in PC skills including Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information professionally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in audit, regulatory, or testing areas.
