As a Product Management professional in Private Fund Services, you will support the product management function by progressing new business opportunities and delivering agreed product enhancements. You will help translate client needs into practical operating model solutions, evaluate deal economics, and support successful client onboarding and fund launches. You will contribute to a disciplined, controlled delivery environment and help drive improvements across end-to-end processes. You will also build strong relationships across the firm and confidently engage with clients and stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
- Support new business opportunities by evaluating requirements, responding to proposals, and contributing to client presentations.
- Partner with Sales to coordinate the end-to-end new deal process and maintain clear stakeholder alignment.
- Review commercial terms and support monitoring of profitability, invoicing timeliness, and expense discipline.
- Analyse client change requests and recommend operating model and service solutions.
- Coordinate with onboarding and operational teams to deliver fund launches and client implementations.
- Develop operational solutions by reviewing fund governing documents and investment structures.
- Identify and progress service enhancements in partnership with Product Development, Operations, and Technology.
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to inform product priorities and differentiation.
- Improve end-to-end delivery processes by defining change initiatives and driving execution across partners.
- Support client queries and special projects, driving timely issue resolution and clear communications.
- Coach and support junior team members, including graduates and interns, to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
- Experience in fund administration, fund operations, private equity, or the alternative funds industry.
- Demonstrated ability to support new business processes, including proposals, questionnaires, and due diligence responses.
- Ability to evaluate deal commercials and translate requirements into workable operating models.
- Strong understanding of global fund structures, with expertise across multiple domiciles (e.g., Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman, Channel Islands, US).
- Strong stakeholder management skills across cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Sales, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology).
- Client-facing confidence, including presenting to and engaging with senior external stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to simplify complex topics.
- Strong attention to detail with a structured approach to delivery and controls.
- Ability to set priorities, work independently, and drive outcomes in parallel workstreams.
- Demonstrated people leadership skills, including supporting the development of junior colleagues.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with fund accounting and administration platforms (e.g., FIS Investran).
- Experience assessing data and technology usage against a target operating model and remediating gaps.
- Familiarity with process improvement, change delivery, or transformation initiatives in an operations-heavy environment.
- Experience supporting Alternatives beyond private equity (e.g., hedge fund strategies).
- Experience using analytics and automation tools (e.g., Alteryx).
- Understanding of enterprise data strategies and how they support scalable client delivery.
- Interest in, or practical experience with, responsible use of AI-enabled capabilities in a controlled environment.
