We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Banking Analyst to join our dynamic Mergers & Acquisitions team, offering an exceptional opportunity to contribute to high-profile transactions in the infrastructure space and drive growth within a leading financial institution.

As an Analyst in the M&A group, you will be a key player in the execution of the firm's business. You will work with expert professionals at the heart of a leading global investment bank. Senior bankers will get to know you - both as a person and as a valued member of a winning team. You will experience training, hands‐on learning opportunities, continuous mentoring and feedback, and numerous development opportunities. You will use your related experience to contribute to the firm's M&A origination and execution while helping build J.P. Morgan's franchise and reputation in the marketplace. You will develop strong functional skills in the major areas of investment banking and become a senior client executive who is capable of generating and executing your own transactions. Job Responsibilities

  • Develop content for strategic meetings with clients regarding M&A transactions;
  • Interact with senior team members and client management teams on a daily basis to execute transactions and discuss strategic alternatives;
  • Build and use complex financial models, completing valuation and analytical exercises including DCF, trading comparables, transaction comparables, LBO and DDM analyses;
  • Develop highly bespoke and sophisticated M&A sale strategy processes;
  • Work closely with clients, JPM industry and sector partners to develop comprehensive transaction materials, including the preparation of business plans, performance analyses, due diligence reports and marketing materials;
  • Keep abreast of key market developments and establishing knowledge of the target client base and relevant market dynamics.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Prior investment banking work experience is desired but not mandatory;
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field;
  • Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business writing skills;
  • Understanding of the transaction cycle and process steps;
  • Impeccable communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients and key stakeholders in other lines of business;
  • Self‐directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently;
  • European language (in addition to English) is desired but not mandatory.

This role encompasses the performance of regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the relevant regulatory authorities to carry out such activities.
