You will partner with senior leaders across product, operations, and technology to deliver priority initiatives that strengthen governance and execution. As a Vice President within the Payments Controls Strategy and Transformation team you will drive the execution of high-priority initiatives that advance the Payments Controls operating model and strengthen the end-to-end control framework across product, operations, and technology. You will partner closely with Control Management leads across Payments Controls and collaborate with senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact initiatives spanning strategy, governance, regulatory management, risk management, and control evaluation.
Job responsibilities
- Drive the execution of Payments Controls Strategy and Transformation initiatives, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Lead targeted deep-dive assessments to identify risks, uncover control gaps, and define remediation actions to strengthen the overall control framework.
- Gather, synthesize, and analyze complex data sets to generate insights, identify themes, and inform decision making.
- Own the development of executive-level materials for key meetings with Payments business and controls leadership, ensuring clear, concise, and impactful messaging.
- Develop structured updates for senior stakeholders, including status reporting, key risks, and strategic insights.
- Support the design and implementation of operating models, processes, and control or governance frameworks.
- Coordinate across regional and functional Payments Controls teams to drive alignment, consistency, and adoption of best practices.
- Lead program management activities, including planning, prioritization, dependency management, and delivery tracking across initiatives.
- Manage regulatory and risk-related deliverables, including preparation of materials for control assessments, issue management, and regulatory responses.
- Build strong partnerships across Product, Operations, and Technology Controls, influencing stakeholders to achieve delivery outcomes.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or another related discipline.
- Previous experience in financial institutions in one or more of the following areas: Strategy, Program management, Governance, Operational risk, Controls, Compliance.
- Proven experience delivering strategic initiatives, process improvement efforts, or complex programs in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing materials for senior management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset, with the ability to drive tasks through to completion.
- Ability to work independently while building strong partnerships across teams.
- Experience working with structured data, presentations, and senior stakeholder deliverables.
- Confident communicator, capable of forming well-reasoned views and contributing to discussions with senior stakeholders.
