As a Vice President within the Global Corporate Bank (GCB), you will play a pivotal role in originating, building, and scaling long‐term relationships with some of the UK's most ambitious VC‐backed technology companies. You will cover businesses headquartered in London and across key innovation hubs including Manchester, Oxford, and Cambridge. Your focus will be on driving sustainable growth across the full client lifecycle — from initial engagement through scale and maturity — by delivering the breadth of J.P. Morgan's capabilities. You will proactively anticipate client needs, partnering with founders and CFOs as they navigate critical inflection points, while maximizing value and revenue for the firm over time. This position is based in our London office.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaboration across the firm is core to success in this role. You will be expected to demonstrate the following:
  • Build and represent the J.P. Morgan Technology Banking franchise in your market, positioning the firm as the leading Innovation Economy bank serving the most compelling and diverse founders and businesses.
  • Originate and develop new client relationships while deepening existing ones, delivering the full capabilities of the firm and leading internal dialogue across credit, payments, and broader strategic solutions.
  • Maintain an active and relentless focus on identifying the next generation of high‐quality, diverse founders, leveraging a strong referral network built through ecosystem engagement, venture relationships, and market presence.
  • Act as a trusted partner across J.P. Morgan, collaborating closely with Investment Banking, Large and Mid‐Cap Corporate Banking, Payments, Markets, Private Bank, Risk, and Industry Coverage teams to deliver coordinated client outcomes.
  • Demonstrate genuine passion for innovation, entrepreneurship, and the start‐up ecosystem, staying close to industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for client growth, innovation, and strategic partnership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of relevant experience within banking, finance, or a related client‐facing role.
  • Strong interest and understanding of high‐growth sectors, including AI, software, applied technology, and e‐commerce.
  • Solid grounding in Commercial Banking products (cash management, FX), with exposure to Investment Banking solutions such as equity capital raising and M&A.
  • Experience structuring and managing credit solutions relevant to venture‐backed and high‐growth technology companies.

  • Proven ability to originate and manage complex client relationships, with strong commercial judgment and sales discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, enabling credibility with senior clients and effective partnership with internal stakeholders and control functions.
  • Highly self‐directed, proactive, and intellectually curious, comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving outcomes in a fast‐moving environment.
