As an Equity Research Analyst or Associate within the European Capital Goods Equity Research Team, you will be tasked with cultivating a deep understanding of equities, markets, and companies, with a special emphasis on the Capital Goods sector, which includes a broad array of end markets. Your role will involve collaborating closely with our top‑tier team under the mentorship of senior analysts to create insightful reports on companies, sectors, and thematic trends. You will also be responsible for conveying our team's insights on stocks and sectors to our institutional clients. Beyond your immediate team duties, you will be a part of a community of intelligent, inquisitive, and collaborative team members who are given substantial responsibility and exposure early in their careers. We provide extensive training and professional development across the department to support career progression.
Job Responsibilities
- Work with senior colleagues in the team to provide thought‑leadership to institutional clients with respect to the Capital Goods sector with potential for stock coverage based on candidate readiness.
- Maintain and update valuation models.
- Build and maintain industry databases.
- Prepare materials for the regular publication of research reports, including data analysis and presentation.
- Contribute to the writing of research reports, including quarterly results alerts, stock reports, and thematic pieces.
- Communicate with institutional investors and company representatives, as well as internal clients (Sales, Sales‑Traders, and Traders).
- Stay abreast of company and industry developments.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Strong interest in Industrials and technology more generally, and a willingness to specialize in this area.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; you can engage and influence partners and stakeholders.

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
