The Custody business is supporting a fast-paced agenda to enhance client experience. This requires assimilating many ideas generated at all levels (primarily by Custody Ops & Product Development) into a structured framework. The right amount of rigor in documenting & governing initiatives is important to enable targeted, strategic decision making.
As a Custody Operations - Associate in the Custody Team, you will be responsible for leading high-impact initiatives ranging from People, Process and Technology with senior leadership visibility. These programs will typically be cross-organizational, providing opportunity to work with various stakeholders across Product, Ops, Prod Dev, Tech and Compliance.
You will be required to identify opportunities for large impact transformation using a data-driven approach, leverage tools like Alteryx, Owl, Tableau, and lead a program that will deliver on a target state vision to increase operational automation and efficiency. You will be asked to lead work streams/projects across the Corporate & Investment Bank lines of business from assessment through articulation of recommendations and execution.
Job responsibilities:- Manages and executes complex projects and ensures that project deliverables are met with the appropriate due diligence and system integration relating to Custody & Middle Office Services.
- Works with a team of stakeholders across multiple groups including product, product development, core operations, technology, finance, and works closely with global partners on global initiatives.
- Helps to manage Custody Org IAS charter reviews, reviews of materiality assessments, exit plans, annual governance questionnaires for Custody organization.
- Follows industry-leading technology trends and recommends strategic implementation for the benefit of the Custody business.
- Provides transparency to management through project governance by ensuring deadlines are met, strategic initiatives are delivered within budget, and strong adherence to risk mitigation.
- Supports other projects like New business, CTS computations, Run the bank projects, process reengineering, Location strategy, IAS charter activities and managing production issues.
- Participates in meetings at the operational and project level, providing continuous updates on project status, UAT management, and production deployment.
- A track record of involvement in change program implementing new business processes and controls.
- Ability to face off to very demanding stakeholders, large scale impact program execution.
- Strong understanding of the trade’s lifecycle, FX and cash management and corporate actions.
- Delivers prepared presentations well; can provide clear, well-reasoned answers to questions; prepares and sets the agenda for team meetings.
- Problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues.
- Custody Operations, Client Service or Middle Office experience.
- Experience participating in strategic change initiatives.
- Custody product & process knowledge and experience would be beneficial.
- Candidates with prior experience for implementing projects leveraging AI/ML and Blockchain technology or IA tools like Alteryx and Tableau would be beneficial.
- Experience in activities related to IAS charter maintenance, Materiality assessments, exit plans and governance questionnaires would be beneficial.
